Modest easing measures from the Bank of Japan on Friday sent Asian shares broadly lower, but losses were limited as investors had pared expectations before the decision. The Nikkei Stock Average turned lower, falling 1.7% minutes after the BOJ disappointed with the magnitude of its easing, announcing plans to increase stock-fund purchases to nearly double the previous amount.
